For families that value diversity, Bentivar provides a wide range of options. Though the homes are built in classic styles, there are a variety of floor plans, square footages and designs. All of the lot sizes are impressive, with the smallest measuring in at approximately 2 acres and the largest being over 30 acres. With the assortment comes a great range in home values; however, the bulk of the properties fall within the $500,000 to $800,000 range. Some of the most expensive exceed the $1 million mark.

While there are no walking trails, parks or recreational opportunities set in the boundaries of Bentivar, entertainment, exercise and the great outdoors are all within easy reach of the neighborhood. Rivanna River is a popular place for hiking, biking, fishing, picnics and much more. There are parks in many of the surrounding regions and several options for walking trails. Soccer lovers enjoy the five soccer fields at South Fork Soccer Complex, which is located within Bentivar. Further, the area boasts several large shopping centers and easy access – via Route 29 – to the city. Baker-Butler Elementary, Sutherland Middle and Albemarle High Schools serve the Bentivar area.
