Learn More about Grayrock

Made up of three communities in one picturesque area, Grayrock is a welcoming neighborhood in western Albemarle County. The oldest of the three subdivisions, Grayrock, was established in the year 1999. Grayrock also includes Grayrock North, which was built only a few years after. Between the two communities there are a total of 152 single-family homes. The third sub-area within Grayrock – Grayrock West – is still under development by Ryan Homes. This neighborhood, while much smaller than the other two regions, boasts impressive homes and a number of vacant lots for custom development. Read More

All of the homes throughout these communities are built with quality materials and have beautiful craftsmanship. The structures are placed carefully to capture the spectacular mountain views that surround the Grayrock. Residents of the three Grayrock subdivisions enjoy an active, outdoor-based lifestyle that complements the natural splendor of the area. The neighborhood is surrounded by a series of scenic walking trails, and there are two ponds to enjoy. Further amenities within the subdivision include a children’s playground, a basketball court and a gazebo. Just outside of the Grayrock subdivisions are a number of popular local attractions. Wineries, historic sites and fantastic shopping options abound in Crozet and just outside of town in the surrounding areas. Slightly further out, Charlottesville provides great opportunities for culture and sightseeing.
