There are two popular parks within Crozet that offer public access to community lakes and ponds: Mint Springs Valley Park (seasonal beach and swimming) and Beaver Creek Reservoir (104 acre lake). On any given day, you will see locals fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and canoeing in these lakes. Both lakes also allow small boats with electric motors and you will often see the occasional sailboat at Beaver Creek (also home to the Western Albemarle rowing team). Beyond these popular community lakes, there are also a handful of subdivisions with community lakes and ponds, these include Grayrock, Westlake, Old Trail, and Grayrock North.
