Rugby Neighborhoods Neighborhood- Charlottesville Community Guide-Town Realty LLC
Rugby Neighborhoods
The Rugby region is made up of many smaller neighborhoods, with some of the most popular and closest together being Rugby, Greenleaf, Rose Hill and Southern Pines. These diverse neighborhoods are all situated on the outskirts of Charlottesville, right near the UVA campus. In fact, this district is thought of as a transition area, as it connects the University of Virginia campus and the rest of Charlottesville.

The homes throughout the areas are mostly single-family and are designed in a vast range of styles. Manors, estates and impressive historic homes dominate the Rugby neighborhood, while others, such as Greenleaf, feature quaint bungalows that were built right after WWII. Pride in ownership and sturdy construction are apparent of homes in all four communities. With the mixture of home styles comes a great price range: Those homes in the Greenleaf, Rose Hill and Southern Pines neighborhoods average between $200,000 and $500,000, while those in Rugby often meet and exceed the $1 million price point.

One consistent factor throughout the Rugby district is the convenience for residents. All of the neighborhoods are highly walkable and are within easy reach of several parks, including McIntire Park and Greenleaf Park. Further, campus activities, football games, dining options at The Corner and all of the excitement of Downtown Charlottesville are set just minutes away. The high-end shopping experience offered in Barracks is also accessible from the Rugby region. Giving residents plenty of options, the neighborhoods of Rugby offer a perfect mixture of modern convenience and historic charm.
